Alex Karas (Owner/Creative Director)

Alex started Voila Cinematic in 2007 with a desire to shoot edit and produce high quality films. His passion for filmmaking began as a high school student and Alex went on to earn a degree in from University of South Florida and a degree in film directing from Princeton University. His later experience working for VH-1 and MTV on popular shows such as “Hogan Knows Best” and “My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding” laid the groundwork for Voila Cinematic. When he's not handcrafting films, Alex can be found spending quality time with his wife and 2 boys,  and as a die-hard Cubs fan, rooting on his favorite team. Go Cubs!

Jocelyn Karas (Owner/Producer)

Jocelyn hails from Kentucky and despite what some may think, loves shoes and wears them MOST of the time! Jocelyn joined Voila in 2009 working alongside hubby Alex to expand their vision for Voila Cinematic.  Jocelyn works with our Signature clients from their first phone call to the time they receive their films and after to ensure a great experience throughout the wedding planning process. Jocelyn’s background is in the performing arts and she has played roles all over the world dancing and singing, but her FAVORITE role is that of mommy to two busy boys ages 3 and 7.

Alex Voltz (Associate Producer)

Alex (Voltz) discovered his passion for entertainment as a child when he started studying tap, jazz and ballet.  He ultimately entered a professional career in the performing arts,  teaching and choreographing and joining the entertainment department at Busch Gardens as a performer. In 2009, Alex joined Voila Cinematic looking for a new challenge. Under the direction of Alex Karas, he learned a whole new side of entertainment - working behind the scenes. Alex currently serves as Associate Producer for Voila Cinematic. He and his wife Lindsay are newlyweds and love spending time with their dog Ollie and traveling.

Kellie Hughes (Sales & Marketing Coordinator)

After being introduced to the wedding industry working for TLC’s “Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta”, Kellie fell in love with the world of weddings. "Being fortunate to work and train with two of Tampa’s wedding industry leaders Botanica International Design Studio and now Voila Cinematic I feel so incredibly blessed with the knowledge, integrity and enthusiasm I have gained for the industry.” Kellie’s best days are with her children and grand baby Libby. Being a native Floridian she feels that nothing is better than spending time on the beautiful waters and exploring this beautiful world.

Joe Barber (Editor)

After years in the IT industry, Joe was seeking a way to utilize his creativity while still working in a technological capacity. In 2015, he opened a small business with a focus on editing and film production. Shortly after, he joined the Voila Cinematic team as a wedding videographer, learning how to capture the Voila Cinematic style and artistic focus. In 2016, he moved into his current position as Associate Editor where he works in post-production to ensure that the most memorable moments are pieced together in a beautiful, artistic story. Joe loves what he does and feels that there is so much joy that stems from capturing couples on the happiest day of their lives.  Joe currently lives in Wesley Chapel with his wife and three sons.
